Dr. Glenn Wilson  (Dentist)

Dr. Glenn Wilson, born and raised in B.C., attended UBC before moving to Alberta where he received his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Alberta. After graduating in 1989, he moved to Winnipeg where he practiced for three years before returning to Comox and finally Nanoose Bay, setting up his own practice in 1993, the Wembley Dental Clinic. Dr. Wilson has always believed in providing prompt and timely care, offering the patients the freedom of choice for treatment.

Dr. Wilson is married to his wife, Gill, and has two grown children, a son attending VIU while his daughter is a hygienist within the office. Family ties are close within the office as it also employs his mother-in-law as his office manager.

Dr. Wilson enjoys spending time with his family foremost, whether it be while travelling together, at home or at their cottage on the lake. He enjoys seadooing, water activities, long walks with his dogs and sports, particularly hockey.


 


Dr. Hany Hanna BDS, DDS, HDD, FDSRCPS(Glasg), MICOI

Dr. Hany Hanna, General Dentist, was born in Egypt where he received his dental degree from Cairo university. He also finished a higher diploma in proshodontics before he travelled to the UK where he got his fellowship from the Royal college of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. Afterwords, he got an offer to work in Dubai as an oral surgeon and he spent a few years there before he decided to immigrate to Canada where he received his second dental degree from the University of Toronto with honours.

Dr Hanna is an avid reader of History and in his spare time, he enjoys table tennis, chess and travelling with his wife, daughter and son.


 


George  (RDH)

George Janes attended CFDSS where he obtained his dental hygiene diploma in 1991. Later he obtained his local anaesthesia module at UBC in 1993, his national board certification in 1996 and advanced digital imaging in 1999 from Dalhousie University. He has been a member of the Canadian Dental Hygiene Association since 1991. George joined the practice in 1995 where he has enjoyed great friendships and relationships with his patients and fellow team members.

As a dental professional he believes it is important to stay current with technology and to incorporate this technology in his daily practice. He finds it a pleasure to practice in a modern office with the best equipment available in dental treatment. He believes our dental success has been built by providing compassionate, gentle and professional care to our patients.

George and his wife, Delores, reside in Qualicum Beach and are very happy to be members of this Oceanside community.


 


Nichola  (RDH)

Nichola was born and raised on Vancouver Island. She completed her Dental Hygiene in 2008 at Canadian National Institute of Health in Ottawa, Ontario. She came back to Parksville where she worked at Wembley Dental until 2013, then she moved to Vernon and where she met her husband, Braden. Nichola and her husband recently moved back to the area and purchased acreage in North Qualicum and is very happy to be working at the practice once again. In her free time she enjoys riding her three horses or hiking with her dogs.


 
 
Ivana  (RDH)

Ivana grew up in Bryden, Ontario. Her interest in dentistry came after university at Queen’s in Kingston, Ontario. Dentistry has been her passion for more than 30 years. Her career has been varied in private practice, public health, teaching at Vancouver Island University, service in the Canadian Armed Forces, in non-profit charitable organizations, volunteer work for International organizations and recently in the First Nations Health Authority. She lives in Ladysmith with her husband, Tim and two dogs. She enjoys her time with her family, sailing, reading, cooking and hiking.


 


Christina  (RDH)

Christina Maureen is a Dental Hygienist that has been practising for 23 years now. Christina grew up on a farm in Saskatchewan and then moved to Edmonton,Ab where she graduated from the U of A in Dental Hygiene with Distinction in 1995. She has since then gone on to receive her Local Anesthetic module, working in Saskatchewan, Alberta and B.C. She has also received extensive Periodontal knowledge, having worked for a Periodontist for 3 years.

Christina truly enjoys her job and loves her patients. She always has a smile and makes everyone around her feel at ease. She keeps up to date with current issues in the field of dentistry by taking Continuing Education courses.

Christina, as well, is very busy in her life with her 2 children, Alyx and Jack, the loves of her life. Both are enrolled in French Immersion and speak fluent French. They additionally are involved in dance and hockey.

Furthermore, she enjoys her physical fitness, going to the gym most days and running everyday before work. Christina and her children love living on beautiful Vancouver Island and all the outdoor activities.


 


Jeanine  (CDA)

Jeanine has been in the field of dentistry for 33 years. Originally from Mackenzie in Northern BC, she relocated to Qualicum with her husband and two boys in 2002 and traded in her snow blower for designer rain hats and rubber boots. Jeanine is a Certified Dental Assistant who specialized in 1990 in Orthodontics. Jeanine has her Provincial Instructors Diploma and has been a member of BC FORT (BC’s disaster identification team) for the past 12 years. In her free time she will be running, gardening or flying up and down the highway to visit her family.


 


Veronica  (CDA)

Veronica has been with Wembley dental since graduating from VIU in 2002. she is a certified dental assistant with an orthodontic module completed in 2005 at UBC.

Her spare time is spent with her family enjoying hiking, camping and long distance trail running. anytime spent outdoors is their passion!

Doreen  (Office Manager)

Doreen was born in Lancashire, England and lived there until she emigrated to Nanoose Bay in 1982 with her husband, Dave and their four children. In Lancashire they were owners and operators of large boarding kennels and stables.

In Canada she became employed with Canada Post before settling into her current position with Wembley Dental Clinic in 1993.

She now has eight grandchildren (7 boys/1 girl). She enjoys family most of all and loves animals and gardening.
