My wife and I recently travelled from Ontario to visit a friend in Qualicum Beach. A day after my arrival I developed an extreme pain in the right side of my jaw. It was difficult to determine the pain's origin since it seemed to move to different spots a different times. My wife researched local emergency dental and came up with the Wembley clinic. In desperation I called them at 7:50am 10 minutes before they were slated to open and to my surprise they answered my call. A very friendly receptionist booked me for an examination with Dr Petal for noon that day. Dr Petal was very kind and methodical in his approach to diagnosing the problem. He found the tooth that was causing the problem and took time to explain that the tooth needed a root canal done. I explained that I was flying to California the next day and asked him if there was anything he could do. He booked me for 2:20 that afternoon and did a temporary procedure to remove the pain until I could see my dentist back to Ontario. The work he did completely removed the pain. I am so grateful to the Wembley Clinic and their wonderful staff.

The care, compassion and attention demonstrated for my kids during their visit was phenomenal. My one child is autistic and my older child had suffered an injury in the past that resulted in some dental trauma. The staff who worked with them were fantastic every step of the way and resulted in a stress free visit for everyone. For the first time, both kids had a great time at the dentist! Just moved to parksville and went in for an intake back in December. After dealing with two different dentists in my previous hometown that would not do any preventative dental work it was a breath of fresh air to be able to get all my concerns actioned within a few weeks of my intake. Staff were all super friendly and welcoming and worked gently and efficiently!

Dr Glenn Wilson

General Dentist

Dr. Glenn Wilson, born and raised in B.C., attended UBC before moving to Alberta where he received his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Alberta. After graduating in 1989, he moved to Winnipeg where he practiced for three years before returning to Comox and finally Nanoose Bay, setting up his own practice in 1993, the Wembley Dental Clinic.

Dr. Wilson enjoys spending time with his family foremost, whether it be while travelling together, at home or at their cottage on the lake. He enjoys seadooing, water activities, long walks with his dogs and sports, particularly hockey.
Dr Parnit Bhupal

General Dentist

Dr. Parnit Bhupal began her academic journey in India in 2008, where she obtained her Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree. Following several years of devoted community service as a dentist in her hometown, she made the decision to pursue higher education and earned Master of Science from Central Michigan University. After working for several years, Dr. Bhupal eventually earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA.

Dr. Bhupal is a firm believer in providing exceptional dental care in a warm and compassionate manner where patients always feel welcome. She loves all areas of dentistry and enjoys restoring smiles and relieving people of pain. She is fluent in English, Hindi and Punjabi and is excited to serve the multicultural community of the Island.

Outside of work, Dr. Bhupal enjoys being outdoors, loves hiking, reading, and kayaking. Vancouver Island’s exquisite beauty has drawn Dr. Bhupal and her husband, Taran, to the Island, which they are excited to call as their new home.
Dr Aarthi Sankar

General Dentist

Dr. Aarthi Sankar graduated from the University of Toronto and practised dentistry in Ontario before relocating to Vancouver Island. Prior to moving to Canada in 2019, she practised dentistry in India, bringing a diverse clinical background and a well-rounded perspective to patient care.

Known for her calm and gentle approach, Dr. Aarthi is committed to providing high-quality, individualized dental care in a comfortable and welcoming environment. Fluent in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu, she looks forward to serving the diverse community of Vancouver Island.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Aarthi enjoys spending time with her two young boys, playing pickleball, hiking, and dancing.
